In the past decade, many churches have seen changes. In fact, according to PEW Research, a large percentage have changed from New Testament Biblical churches into a nuance of Purpose Driven models, in which the principles of Christianity have been cast aside in hopes of growing membership, buildings, and coffers.
It can be summed up in the response by one of the notorious authors and apostate Pastor, Rick Warren. OnMay23, 2005, he said at the Pew forum on Religion and Public life: “ The word fundementalist comes from a document in the 1920′s called the Five Fundementals of Faith. It is a legalistic and narrow view of Christianity.”
The five fundementals he was attributing to are:
1. The inerrancy and Full authority of the Bible.
2. The virgin birth and full Deity of Christ.
3. The bodily ressurection of Jesus from the Dead.
4. Christ’s atoning viscious death on the Cross.
5. The literal second coming of Jesus Christ.
So Christians who hold to these foundations of the Gospel are narrow minded and legalistic? According to the Bible, those who believe otherwise are not Christians. The Purpose Driven Church model is all about replcing God and Christ with self and purpose. It removes the condemnation of sin and forgiveness is replaced with self worth and worthiness by ones deeds and life. But it all goes against what the Bible really teaches. It is about Christ, and trusting Him alone for our Salvation.

But you can’t sell books, and build huge churches, and make oodles of money by teaching the Truth. Just as in the days of Christ, it would be the leaders of these big mega churches that would be calling for Christs chastisement and death if He were amongst us. It would interfere in their model of religion. That is why most people that have heard me preach or teach know I stand by this statement…”Christianity is not a religion, it is a way of life.” I hope that anyone who feels they are being led astray by these churches or their church is in the process of becoming one of them, stop it in its tracks. The Purpose Driven Movement is an OCCULT MOVEMENT, not a Christian movement.
Ther are many resources on the web, and I recommend the book: The Dark Side of the Purpose Driven Church by N.W. Hutchings. It is a good inside look at what is happening to the church of today and how it is not the Church that is talked about in the Bible. There are three tell tale signs…Serving, Obeying, and Glorifying God. If they dont believe the Bible, Jesus Christ and God are the authority, and our only purpose is to glorify God…chances are, the church you are attending is not really a Christian Church.
Here is a good blog I would like to point you in the direction of. He is a looney. Well a looney…whereby
